About Deron Hines
I am Deron Hines and I am running for the opportunity to represent us as your next Chelsea City Councilor in District 2. I was born and raised in Chelsea and have been shaped by this community. I have spent my life working with young people, as a social worker, mentor, and coach, because I believe every young person deserves opportunity and hope. I’m part of the next generation of leadership — grounded, accessible, and committed to lifting up every voice in Chelsea.
I have no special interests and no ulterior motives. My campaign is about integrity, inclusivity, and building a city where everyone belongs — not just the connected few. That means fighting for housing protections so families can stay rooted here, expanding youth programming so our next generation can thrive, and ensuring government transparency so our community can finally trust that City Hall works for them.
I believe my lived experience, resilience, and deep roots here make me the ideal candidate for District 2. Someone who can bring fresh energy, empathy, and collaboration to City Hall. This campaign isn’t about me — it’s about us, about Chelsea’s future, and about proving that together we can create a city that works for everyone.
